My Story

My name is Alec and I am a serving Police Officer with Dyfed Powys Police and have just become a member of "Jack's Pack". I would like you to join me in making a difference, as I'm raising money in aid of JOINING AGAINST CANCER IN KIDS and every donation will help.

Here is a short story of why I am getting involved;

Just over 10 years ago Jack Brown, aged 7, lost his battle against this terrible disease which continues to affect over 100 children a year in the UK. The idea of raising money was born to be able to help children in their fight against Cancer. The money helps to send children abroad for treatment, with the money being raised by serving police officers (Jack's Father), support staff, family and friends.

On May 14th 2020, approximately 100 of us from The Met, Essex Police, Surrey Police, Sussex Police, City of London Police, The British Transport Police and now Dyfed-Powys Police will leave for New York. We will complete a Half Marathon, in uniform, in Central Park and we will attempt to Pull a Plane – an Airbus A320 to be exact, faster that any of our law enforcement colleagues in New York.

You may think "what a jolly" but what I must point out is that each team member of Jack's Pack, whether Police Officers, Support staff, PCSO's or Special Constables pay for his/her own airfare and hotel accommodation and commits to raising at least £500 in sponsorship.

I would be most grateful if you could support me in my fundraising and ask that you visit the website www.j-a-c-k.org and see more in depth, how Jack's Pack is helping. I ask that you donate what you can via this fundraising page to an amazing charity.

Thank you Alec.
